CHICAGO, IL – Countries across the globe have imposed travel restrictions to reduce the spread of the COVID-19 virus. Despite these drastic measures, the virus’s threat still looms large and many people continue to travel despite recommendations from the World Health Organization. Aerospace manufacturer Boeing has decided to take its own measure to discourage travel. By installing faulty engines into their lines of 737 Max and 777 jets, they have been able to trigger a series of engine failures and plane crashes that span the globe. A Boeing spokesperson put out a statement explaining that the company’s board of directors felt that travelers were not taking the pandemic seriously and needed to be shown the consequences of their actions. The effectiveness of these failures is not immediately clear, but the company has promised that there is plenty more to come. Experts speculate that a number of exciting new mechanical and electrical issues will be revealed in the coming months.
