{"id":144,"date":"2021-06-05T22:34:50","date_gmt":"2021-06-06T02:34:50","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/paperslop.com\/?p=144"},"modified":"2021-06-05T22:34:56","modified_gmt":"2021-06-06T02:34:56","slug":"21-year-olds-excited-they-are-finally-old-enough-to-drink-themselves-to-death","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/paperslop.com\/?p=144","title":{"rendered":"21-Year-Olds Excited They are Finally Old Enough to Drink Themselves to Death"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/upload.wikimedia.org\/wikipedia\/commons\/f\/fe\/Kibris-alkol-fiyatlari.jpg\" alt=\"Alcohol lines up on a bar.\"\/><figcaption>guncel, CC BY-SA 4.0 <a href=\"https:\/\/creativecommons.org\/licenses\/by-sa\/4.0\">https:\/\/creativecommons.org\/licenses\/by-sa\/4.0<\/a>, via Wikimedia Commons<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Katy Nealson of Sun City Arizona celebrated her twenty-first birthday on Thursday.&nbsp; The Arby\u2019s crew member celebrated by having drinks with a small group of friends.&nbsp; She described it as \u201ca night she would never forget\u201d.&nbsp; Nobody was injured that night, but that group of young, sweaty twenty-somethings had knowingly put themselves in danger and altered their lives forever.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For Ms. Nealson and other young people alcohol has become one of the hippest ways to destroy their lives.&nbsp; Alcohol puts the body at risk for liver damage, heart disease, and cancer.&nbsp; These ill effects are widely known, yet there is no consideration for the long-term effects these drinks will have on their future.&nbsp; Every shot could be a car accident, every beer a divorce.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Empowered by the legality of their consumption, twenty-one-year-olds are at the highest risk of creating future failures for themselves.&nbsp; Katy Nealson thought she had fun on her birthday.&nbsp; What she really did was default on a mortgage and give her best friend chronic diarrhea.&nbsp; Moving forward we must convince these young drinkers to look past the immediate thrill of poisoning themselves and instead at the eventual horrors that delicious poison causes.&nbsp; It might mean the difference between getting to still have a child born and having a child stillborn.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Katy Nealson of Sun City Arizona celebrated her twenty-first birthday on Thursday.
